St Lukes sign on as major sponsor to the 2024 St.Giles Burn

St Lukes sign on as major sponsor to the 2024 St.Giles Burn

Preparations are ramping up for this year’s St.Giles Burn, with a new course confirmed and Tasmanian not-for-profit health insurer St Lukes back on board as a major sponsor.

The 400-metre sprint is on the move, with the 2024 event taking place up Elizabeth and Arthur Streets, culminating in a new finish line precinct at St. Georges Square.

“With a combined 150 years of service to the Tasmanian community between our two organisations, we think having St Lukes on board for the St.Giles Burn is a perfect fit,” said event manager Scott Gelston.

“I think I can speak for both organisations when I say we’re very excited about moving the course and the new finish line precinct at St. Georges Square where families and competitors will be able to relax after their run.”

This year’s event is the 10th anniversary of the original Balfour Burn, and planning for the move to the new location has been ongoing for the past 12 months.

St Lukes Chief Marketing Officer Ben Davis agreed the new course would be a huge draw card for new and returning competitors, and an opportunity to bring the community together for a good cause.

“We love this initiative, because it encourages people to get active and challenge themselves, while coming together to support St.Giles’ incredibly important work,” said Mr Davis.

“We host a range of activities in our wellness hubs that inspire nutrition, movement, and community connection – concepts which play a huge role in our vision to make Tasmania the healthiest island on the planet. The St.Giles Burn takes this concept out into the community.

“We think it’s so important to see like-minded organisations working together towards better health and wellbeing outcomes for our state.”

Tickets for the 2024 event are now available via TryBooking. St Lukes members can keep an eye on their email for an exclusive discount entry code.
