Mark Valena

Mark has extensive experience as a consultant, executive, CEO, and now director in the insurance and health sectors, strategy development, capital and financial management, and risk management. He is a former CEO at GMHBA Limited – a top 10 Australian health insurer and regional healthcare provider.

Mark helps shape and influence the healthcare sector through his various directorships across hospital contracting, technology and peak advocacy bodies. He brings expertise to the St Lukes Board spanning the strategy, leadership and culture, technology, systems, and processes that make an organisation successful. 

Mark is a director of entities in the insurance, health and disability sectors, all of which provide relevant experience to his role at St Lukes.
