Flu season is upon us, and we want to help protect your health by giving all our members with Extras cover access to a free flu shot this winter.

Getting a flu shot is your single best protection against catching the flu and getting seriously ill from associated complications. So, we want to make it as easy as possible for our members to get their flu shot.

Booking your free flu shot is easy. Click the Book Now button to book an appointment with a participating pharmacy at a time that's convenient for you up until 31 July 2024. 

At your appointment, simply present your St Lukes membership card – there’s no payment or claim needed.

If you would prefer to go to a pharmacy of your choice, keep the itemised receipt from your appointment and submit a claim through your St Lukes Connect account. Benefits can be claimed on vaccinations administered on or before 31 December 2024.

2024 Influenza Vaccination Benefit – Terms and Conditions

The Department of Health advise that annual influenza vaccination should occur anytime from April onwards and that the peak flu season is generally June to September.

Receiving your vaccination from a participating pharmacy through the Pharmacy Guild of Australia network

Eligible members can access their influenza vaccination from a participating pharmacy in the Pharmacy Guild of Australia network. If an eligible member books their appointment for the influenza vaccination at the following link: https://guildcorporatehealth.com.au/book-now and shows the pharmacy their St Lukes membership card at their appointment, the eligible member is not required to make a payment or claim for their influenza vaccination. 

You must have your influenza vaccination administered on or before 31 July 2024.  

Receiving your vaccination from a registered Pharmacy of your choice

Alternatively, eligible members can receive their influenza vaccination from any registered pharmacy of their choice in Australia by paying upfront for the service and submitting a claim.

Eligible members must submit a pharmacy invoice showing the name of the person immunised, the cost, type of influenza vaccine and the date administered to claim benefit.

Claims can be lodged via St.LukesHealth Connect, by emailing general@stlukes.com.au, or by visiting one of our Tasmanian Customer Care Centres.

St Lukes will cover a 2024 influenza vaccination, up to a maximum benefit of $24.47 including GST for each person covered on an Extras policy. 

Benefits can be claimed on vaccinations administered on or before 31 December 2024.
St Lukes will not pay the benefit where reimbursement is received from any other source.

Other Terms and Conditions

To be an eligible member, you must have Extras cover that is financial at the date of vaccination and have served the 2-month waiting period for Extras.

The 2024 Influenza Vaccination Benefit is a once only offer. 

Please note that pharmacists will determine your eligibility to receive an influenza vaccine at a pharmacy.  In Tasmania, pharmacists are unable to provide vaccinations to children aged 5 years or younger. Age limits for children to receive an influenza vaccination administered by a pharmacist differ in other states and territories. Persons with certain contraindications may not be eligible to receive an influenza vaccination at a pharmacy.  Please contact your chosen pharmacy for more information about your individual eligibility to receive an influenza vaccination at a pharmacy.
