Dr Callum Blackhall - Dentist
Callum graduated in Scotland in 1992. He has over 30 years clinical experience with 20 of those in Australia. He has just relocated back to Tasmania from far North Queensland. Callum is passionate about increasing accessibility to dental treatment. Most recently he was Director of Oral Health for Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service ensuring dental services delivers to some of the most remote parts of Australia.
Having interests in dental education he was Clinical Director for James Cook University in Cairns for almost 3 years.
Employing a ‘medicine for teeth’ approach, his clinical interests are in medically compromised patients, dental surgery and optimising patient outcomes to meet their special dental needs.
Callum’s spare time is spent in the outdoors chasing remote places, climbing mountains, camping and cycling. Always one for adventure he has travelled to Russia, Mongolia, Antarctica, South America and North Africa. If you do find him at home, he will be in his shed working on his old Land Rover.
